Orlando Christmas

So, there I went, telling people "Oh, we will be in Orlando, We will make sure to update the blog with pictures" and then we go and barely take any pictures. Well, We will try to do better the next day or two.

We got here on Friday, went and shopped a bit, and then checked into the resort...Saturday wasn't too much different (we went back to where we originally shopped...plus an Ikea trip). Sunday was the first "real" picture taking opportunity at Magic Kingdom. I should do a disclaimer though, We did not bring the "good" camera with us (we didn't want to lug it around and I couldn't figure out how to make the camera case be a good carry on and fit what I needed for the plane). And, I am not going to edit the pictures until we get home, I can tell some are way too bright or way too dark, but such is life, right????

Here are a few pictures from Magic Kingdom, these were from the new Tiana and the Frog "show" (and then Bryon and I went and saw the movie today, it was great!)...

Today, Bryon and I had a day to ourselves, so we went to the movie, and then headed to Cocoa Beach...










And then we finished up with a nice relaxing (I would say peaceful, but its hard to have a peaceful meal when there is a volcano exploding every half hour in the restaurant) dinner at Margaritaville...

Milwaukee

Most people know that I (Maggie) went to college up in Wisconsin. Periodically we like to go up to visit my old roommates who now have 3 kids (Laura has 2 and Dehnel has 1). We only really pulled out the camera when it was time to go play on the swingset, but looking back, we probably should have taken more pictures...

Random Photo Shoot

Becky and I went out for another random photo shoot...We really actually tried to go and get the fall leaves, but truthfully, we were about 3 days too late (there was a large storm that caused most of the leaves to fall). After a detour, we first took pictures at SM Park and then headed out to Deanna Rose Farmstead...

Octoberfest

This will be the first of many posts tonight...I have been slacking a bit when it comes to editing pictures...

We will start with Octoberfest out at Holyfield Winery in Basehor, KS. (Only a month ago)

While I didn't think to take pictures inside while the festivities were going on, I took a bunch outside in the vineyard...

Random Photo Shoot

Today's random photo shoot was of Downtown Lees Summit in Missouri.

Its a little strange to me that at the beginning of October we were having to wear gloves...

Today will be a bit sparse when it comes to pictures, we were really scraping to try to get any, I think I only got 5 pictures that I thought were just "okay" enough to blog about.

Hopefully I will make it out to the park or something soon to try to capture some of the leaves turning, you can see the beginnings of it in some of today's pictures...

(I thought this one was funny...My photoshop/editing skills aren't good enough yet to get all of the reflections from the windows off, and sadly there were city workers wondering what I was doing, so I didn't have too much time to really sit and try to get a great shot with no reflection...)

New Addition to the Extended Family!

As you could tell earlier this summer from my sister's baby shower, we knew we were going to have a new addition to the extended family! Emily May was born Tuesday Sept. 8th, and today we went over to take pictures so they could send out her birth announcements...

Someone just wanted to sleep the whole time...

We were having a hard time getting her to open her eyes, but I did finally catch this one...


After we took the family pictures, we noticed that Emily was tending to "pose" for pictures quite a bit...


I think this one was my favorite, but I can't decide if I like the version that is fully in color, a bit muted color, or more black and white...What do you think?

Baby Shower
