New Addition to the Extended Family!

As you could tell earlier this summer from my sister's baby shower, we knew we were going to have a new addition to the extended family! Emily May was born Tuesday Sept. 8th, and today we went over to take pictures so they could send out her birth announcements...

Someone just wanted to sleep the whole time...


We got a couple family pictures...




We were having a hard time getting her to open her eyes, but I did finally catch this one...


After we took the family pictures, we noticed that Emily was tending to "pose" for pictures quite a bit...


I think this one was my favorite, but I can't decide if I like the version that is fully in color, a bit muted color, or more black and white...What do you think?

Baby Shower

Last weekend, I hosted a baby shower for my sister!

Look at this cake...isn't it incredible? (it was made by a friend of the future mom)

Work Trip

Sorry we haven't posted recently...We have been crazy busy the last month or so...Remind me next time I want to paint our house and have a garage sale in consecutive weeks of how not smart that is...

Well, I am about a 6 hour drive away from home this week, and I did remember to grab the camera. Today, I took a few pictures, but I am hoping to have many many more tomorrow...(Today I took them from the car, tomorrow I plan on taking a stroll through town, so I think there will be much better ones to pick from...but enjoy these to tide you over!













And...yes...my hotel room does have two twin beds only...

We have been busy...

We bought a new house!!!!!






Just kidding. We just greatly improved the one that we already own.

And here is the after...(we will have green shutters and a green front door, and a second coat of paint...this was just the first coat, but it already made such a huge difference and we couldn't wait to share)





We have only completed the front so far...And of course, the forecast is calling for rain, so we are going to have to delay the rest of the house, but at least we got a taste of how it will look!)
