Another Random Photo Shoot

Last Friday I went out with Becky and Audrey (who brought along her daughter) for another photo shoot. Becky mentions it in her blog, and I have to agree, that I am really struggling with the nature shots. I think that maybe it was just taking pictures of a baby was so much more fun.

Bryon and I leave early (our flight is at 6 am) on Saturday morning for Jamaica. So, I can pretty much say with certainty that there will be many pictures on here to follow. We are both so excited to try out the new camera in a fun tropical place!!!!!

Anyways, pictures from last Friday...

Its a little hard to see, but I love the bee..

The lady in the background was cracking me up. She was sooooooo bored and you could totally tell. She was waiting for the guy on the cell phone and I think she paced back and forth for at least a few minutes and you could just see she wanted to take the cell phone and chuck it into the water below.

I think this one is my favorite...I love the hand over her face as if she were to say "No, stop taking my picture", but if you look close, she has a little smile on her face and you know she is enjoying it...

Jill and Paul's Puppy

Our friends Jill and Paul got a new puppy on Thursday evening, so Saturday afternoon we took our monster of a dog to go meet him.

His name is Jaeger, and before you assume that it is after a particular alcoholic drink (which is what we automatically thought), Jill told us that it is actually German for "hunter". Now, whether or not that is true, or if I even remembered what she said correctly, I have no idea (I really should go Google it)

Little Jaeger (yes, he really is this small right now)

Do you see the look on Roxie's face? Any idea what might happen next?

Poor Jaeger got pounced on...

See Jill, I can pick up my dog too!

Roxie thought she had the camouflage thing down well with the fence...

Photo Shoot #2

So, we got our new camera!!!!!

I had to take it out for a test run, so Becky and I went around Kansas City again to see what we could find. We were a little afraid that it was going to be chilly out, but it turned out to be a great day.

We started out in Loose Park, then wandered down to the freight house district, and then up to the River Market area. Truthfully, I didn't figure out a lot of the camera settings until halfway through our time at the freight house, so there aren't any pictures from Loose Park...

Of course, when Bryon saw this one, he of course had to say "Hey, nice Melons..."

Random Photo Shoot #1

You will probably see a lot of these pictures coming up.

I am working on improving my photography skills, so a friend and I went out and had a random photo day on Friday (while it was still 65 degrees and not 20 degrees like today).

I just bought a new camera and it should be coming in the next week or so, so expect to see many many more random photo days as Becky and I wander through Kansas City looking at it through a lens.

Enjoy!

So I realized...

We have totally been slacking off when it came to updating the blog. I promise that will change here soon.

Although I don't have our home repair and updates ready to show you (I will try to remember to take pictures this weekend of the new windows), I at least have pictures from big trash pick up day. (And again, I don't have pictures of the basement yet, but let me tell you...I forgot how HUGE it is. I can't wait until we do our garage sale here in the next few months, then all of a sudden...it should be clean!!!!

(I should mention that in the pictures, we still brought up a few more things, so that is only a partial view. And...that 95% of it was gone by morning when the trash people actually came. A lot of scavengers liked our house this year)
